Congratulations to the De La Salle Catholic College Caringbah Class of 2025 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
Our first Year 12 cohort achieved some incredible results, placing 128th in The Daily Telegraph media rankings.
We recorded 17 Distinguished Achievers, with 36.84 per cent of students receiving an ATAR of more than 85, and more than 70 per cent of course results being above state average.
Eleven students also received nominations across the HSC Showcases, with Jayden McConnell receiving an inclusion for Industrial Technology.
There was also success in VET, with Taine Whihare named NSW SBAT of the Year, and
Quentin Lassauniere taking home the gold medal in the WorldSkills Hospitality – Commercial Cookery category. Together, the cohort received nine nationally recognised VET Certificate II and III qualifications.
Principal Peter Buxton congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic achievements.
“It was impressive to see their hard work and determination, and their diversity yet unified spirit,” he said.
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools is celebrating an outstanding year of achievement with the Class of 2025 delivering some of the strongest HSC results in the system’s history.
Nearly 4,500 SCS students completed HSC exams this year, collectively achieving 2,875 Distinguished Achievers listings, 43 Top Achievers, 53 All Rounders. Five schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW in The Sydney Morning Herald HSC rankings, with 17 schools in the top 150.
Sydney Catholic Schools again enjoyed incredible success across the Creative and Performing Arts and Vocational Education and Training (VET), with students receiving a record 321 nominations across HSC Showcases, and 1,989 nationally recognised VET Certificate II and III qualifications.
