As part of an exciting transformation to a full Years 7-12 Boys College, De La Salle Catholic College Caringbah is proud to unveil a new school crest and colours to carry the school forward into a new era of excellence in boys education.

“We wanted a contemporary and professional look which reflected our heritage and spoke of our new opportunities going forward,” said Principal Peter Buxton.

“Not only are we growing to include the vital senior years and specialise in ‘Boys Education’, but we are part of the eastern Shire precinct with Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer and St Aloysius College Cronulla, which is growing from De La Salle College Cronulla.”

“The precinct will give us many opportunities for shared resources, facilities, educational offerings and teacher expertise and will further extend the already high standard of boys education offered at De La Salle.”

NEW SCHOOL COLOURS

The new colour palette is distinct in the Sutherland Shire, and reflects the rich Catholic heritage of the College.

  • Main colour: Navy. This colour has been retained from the previous crest and will be a common colour across the three precinct schools
  • Secondary colour: Purple. This is a unique colour amongst our neighbouring schools. The colour purple refers to the Advent and Lenten seasons in the liturgical calendar, signalling a time for reflection, renewal and personal growth
  • Highlight colour: Pale blue. This colour traditionally has an association with Mary, Mother of God
NEW CREST

The new crest’s style is contemporary and clean. The elements include:

  • The traditional shield shape from the previous crest
  • The cross shining a light in the centre
  • The LaSallian five pointed star in the centre

The College will roll out the new crest and colours ready to welcome its first Year 11 cohort in 2024.
